We welcome communities or organizations that want to host a Books For Treats event. We’re happy to supply you with art work, guidance on setting up a successful event and a link from our site. We encourage you to link to our free downloadable kit if you’re encouraging residents to give books to their trick-or-treaters.
We are happy to provide interviews with your local media with the Books For Treats founder Rebecca Morgan.
In order to use the Books For Treats name we require:
- A link to www.BooksForTreats.org.
- The event must give books without charge.
- If using our copyrighted work (e.g, our downloadable kit), please write to us for permission. We just want to make sure our URL is included and it is a high-quality piece.
We’ve begun to add removable stickers to the front or back of small books where the bookmarks would fall out. We included a QR code so parents can be taken to this website. Here’s what it looks like. Email us for the PDF or .ai file if you want to have these made.
Here’s a sample of the email we send to our volunteers requesting their help
If you’d like to see how we handle book sorting, here are the instructions we sent to our book-sorting volunteers.
Here’s how we communicate our book-distribution details.
